Owls

OWL

OWL's medicine includes clairvoyance, awareness, intuition.

"OWL, LET ME SEE AND HEAR ALL AROUND ME.
TEACH ME TO UNDERSTAND EVEN THAT WITH IS HIDDEN,
TO HAVE CLARITY WHEN OTHERS DO NOT."

Owl has a very keen perception of everything that is going on. She is aware of
everything that is happening around her at all times and she can see whatever
she focuses on with sharp clarity. People with Owl medicine know what's going on
and have clairvoyant or psychic powers. Their intuition is accurate, clear and
precise.

Those with Owl medicine are the least gullible of all people. Nobody can get a
lie or a con past them because Owl sees right through them, peering past their
mask to see the truth beneath.

Owl: deception, clairvoyance, insight (the night eagle)

Owls come in all sizes, from a tiny miniature that actually lives inside the cactus in the desert, to the great horned owl, which is the only bird that can out fly the golden eagle. A fully grown great horned is an awe inspiring creature. Its talons are furry, and closely resemble the paws of a baby mountain lion with claws extended. It is a meat eater, which means it can be a fierce warrior if challenged, or if something dear to it is threatened. It is often referred to as Night Eagle. Owl is at home in the night. It has great awareness of all that is around it at all times. It has predator vision, which means it sees clearly what it looks at. It has great intuition: it is the totem of psychics and clairvoyants. It has the courage to follow its instincts. Owl's medicine includes seeing behind masks, silent and swift movement, keen sight, messenger of secrets and omens, shape-shifting, link between the dark, unseen world and the world of light, comfort with shadow self, moon power, freedom.

Owl symbolizes the ability to be undeceived by external appearances and illusion, and to discover the truth behind them.

who is Dan?

In attempting to tell you about myself, it seems to me that rather than portraying who I am right now, I would actually be telling you who I HAVE been, up to this point. Who I WAS, rather than who I AM.
So then, it seems to me that by telling you about the ways I have acted or beliefs I have held, I am portraying someone that is not me.

Is the person I was in the past really who I am now?

It is more likely that the way I am now is a product of the ways I have been in the past, of my former beliefs and actions. Also though, one would have to question whether I was showing you who I really have been, or was simply showing myself to be the way that I wanted to be, the way that I believed myself to be.

But, wait, is the person we believe ourselves to be what determines, more than anything else, the person who we truly are?

If that is the case, do my constantly evolving beliefs mean that I am constantly changing my entire identity? It would seem that the answer is yes.

With that in mind, how could one argue against the fact that by attempting to tell you about myself, I would only be reinforcing ideals and beliefs about myself that may or may not still hold true.

By recording and concretizing these views I am accentuating them to myself, solidifying and owning them. So now, it seems that in trying to tell you about myself I am doing myself a great disservice, hindering my progression past old beliefs and points of view by holding on to who I used to be and telling myself that that is still who I am right now.

Is trying to tell you about me really worth limiting my future evolution? Conversely, maybe by telling you about what I WANT to be, or how I WANT to see myself, I am enforcing that view of myself and thus aiding my self progression.

In that case though, is the picture I am presenting really a true one? If I tell you I am a rockstar, sure it would help motivate me to become one but at the cost of lying to people? There doesn't seem to be any way to win. I guess you will just have to figure me out for yourself.

A dream of a shape shifter. In that dream he’s a gorilla.

You may want to look up the powers of the gorilla.

The image can be very helpful to him as well as the image of the hawk

jumping really high and far.

We would advise him to pay attention to the prairie hawks that he’s calling forth. Since he has no fear of the shape-shifting motif, we would advise him to meditate and to allow his soul to pass into the body of the hawk. This can free him from the analytical brain.

It serves him well, but if he can rise above he can move into his higher calling. It’s the combination of the two that make him so unique

Last week he saw twenty-three hawks. What’s the message?

To soar with the hawks.

tude tired and tunes

why is it, that on some days, no matter what you try, you just cant seem to shake a
bad mood? I stayed up late last night watching the last three episodes of season 2 (Lost) and of course now i am grumpy and irritated.

But 15 times today i have stopped and told myself that i am in control and am going to be in a good mood the rest of the day. But nooooo.... it still is hanging around. Like a uninvited guest is in my home. whispering little things in my ear to say, that are usually rude, and cause a tiff b/w jess and i. the moment the words come out of my mouth, i start to think that those words were the words of somebody who is in a bad mood, and i don't wont those words coming out of my mouth. Thanks Mr Grumpy uninvited stranger guest! Thanks for pissing Jess off. AGAIN.

so what does it take? what will it take to truly switch my mood to what i want? i wonder if that crap about smiling really works? it seems like i would have to smile alot in order to switch my mood around.

and what can i do to get my energy up? i was reading this article in a home remedy book today, that says taking daily dosages of bee pollen is supposed to be good for fatigue... well great, i will add that on to the home remedy's of fish oil and ginkgo baloba.

WHAT REALLY WORKS?

is there really a chemical explanation for what is going on inside my lame body? i understand that before we come here, we decide what obstacles we are going to face, and one of the purposes of this life is to work through those obstacles.
ok hurdle, i see you. I have seen you for the last 13 years. what will it possible take to get over and past you?
its like i am exhausted at the worst times. Mainly anytime that i am at work.
And then i am wide awake at the worst times as well. Mainly after 20:00
Bill says that my fatigue as well as some of my dental problems, all stem from the fact that i am putting off something. Well, i feel like i am ready to do that thing in this life that i was born to do. I just don't know what it is.

anyways............. music............ is there anything better in this life? is there anything more relaxing? anything more soothing? anything more comforting? what is it about music that has made it a staple of mankind since our inception? do other mammals really know what they are missing out on? or do they just think it is some other form of human communication. how is it that a simple melodic cord can envoke a vast array of emotion. there are no limits to the different ways that music can make a person feel.
although, i could be biased, since i hear music in my head pretty much the entire time that i am awake. i wonder how many other people hear music as much as i do? and its always the last song i heard before i got out of my car that will be the song that is in my head for the next two to three hours. sometimes its fun just to change the song like a radio station, until i find (remember) one that i like and want to listen to for the next hour.
maybe that is some form of a neurosis?

i gotta go.....

System in my system

Now I am as big a fan as anybody for System Of A Down.... but i think i have had Lonely Day stuck in my head for almost 24 hours straight. I love the song.... but come on. I think it was the soundtrack for my dreams last night.

One

um............. So I am sitting here trying to apply for jobs, and instead i just created a blog account. Sounds productive huh?

I never really wanted a blog, but have wanted to put down my thoughts and ideas somewhere. Writing them out takes to long. Saving them in a word processor file is risky seeing as how often i reformat my comp. So i figured that if i saved all of my rants as a blog, they would be neither on my local comp, nor would then be on a hand written piece of paper.

Sounds good huh?

So, I wonder what this is going to look like once i get done writing it.

I am just buying time until i feel like i have done enough for the night to go and watch another episode of LOST. Frick'n wife got hooked on the 1st season, and thus i started to watch it. We are on disc two of season two if anybody cares. Shit is crazy.
I was looking for a definition to the "bad numbers" that are strung all through the episodes. you know........... 4 8 15 16 23 42. What i found was that there was this guy Enzo Valenzetti, who was employed by the UN during the Cold War, to predict when humans would eventually eradicate themselves by nuclear means. I guess those numbers somehow tell us when that day will be.
